ON BEHALF OF THE ASIA OCEANIA SOCIETY OF PHYSICAL AND REHABILITATION MEDICINE (AOSPRM), AND OUR LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITTEE, IT IS WITH PLEASURE AND EXCITEMENT THAT WE EXTEND A TRADITIONAL KIWI WELCOME TO AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND FROM THE 21ST TO THE 24TH NOVEMBER 2018 FOR THE 6TH ASIA-OCEANIA CONFERENCE OF PHYSICAL & REHABILITATION MEDICINE COMBINED WITH THE REHABILITATION MEDICINE SOCIETY OF AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALANDS 3RD ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING.
The Conference will be held at the SkyCity Convention Centre in the heart of down town Auckland. A world-class shopping centre, buzzing waterfront precincts lined with restaurants, a vibrant arts and culture scene and harbour adventures right on your doorstep.
In pursuit of the Societys aims to disseminate knowledge and skills and promote discussion on important issues supporting rehabilitation medicine, our theme for the Conference is: "State of Art of Rehabilitation Medicine: North to South, East to West".
We expect around 800 delegates with a wide spectrum of professional backgrounds. This is very much an inter-disciplinary Conference and will attract physicians, surgeons, allied health professionals, speech language therapists, dietitians, social workers, rehabilitation network managers and coordinators, clinical psychologists, researchers, registrars, university lecturers, staff and students combining to share knowledge and contribute to rehabilitation medicine.
The Conference includes invited presentations from renowned international and national speakers, a scientific programme based on peer-reviewed submitted abstracts, expert s, and debates around current controversies in rehabilitation medicine. We recognise the importance for exhibitors to have ready access to delegates and have prioritised this accordingly. The majority of the trade exhibition space will be immediately adjacent to the Conference presentations, with delegates congregating in the display area for catering breaks.
